2025 New Year Party
STFA hosted a wonderful gathering on December 6th to welcome the New Year. It was a warm and heartfelt celebration filled with fun and joy, made even more special by the presence of Ambassador Mr. Burçin Gönenli and his wife.
This marks almost a year since we revived the association, and we’re thrilled with how far we’ve come. Over the past year, we’ve organized more than 10 events and engaged with over 100 members. We sincerely thank everyone who became a member, participated in our events, and supported us along the way.
We look forward to reconnecting and growing together in 2025.

Türkiye's 101st National Day Reception
STFA Exco members joined the celebrations at Türkiye's 101st National Day reception hosted by Turkish Ambassador to Singapore HE Amb Burçin Gönenli on 29 October 2024.
Looking back, it was only last year at the Centenary event, that Amb Burçin Gönenli announced his desire to revive STFA, a registered society since 1992. With his encouragement & support, an Exco was elected - and led by Ms Elif Çiftçioğlu - and new activities were organised to help foster closer friendship between the people of Singapore and Türkiye.

STFA hosted an International Coffee Day gathering this morning. We enjoyed various type of coffees, nibbled on snacks, and most importantly connected with both new and old friends. It was a sincere and genuine morning, filled with wonderful conversations.
A special thank you to Elif Erdem Öztürk for helping us arrange the centrally located venue. We also appreciate our Ex-co member Melek Türk Şıvgın for being our barista today and for baking delicious homemade sweets.

STFA organized a fantastic gathering last Saturday at Sentosa. We had an amazing time with both old and new members of our community, and it was heartwarming to see people making friends and leaving the event with happy, smiling faces. Our Executive Committee member, Füsun, demonstrated some delicious Turkish mezes.
Adding to the special atmosphere, the event was graced by the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Singapore, HE Burcin Gönenli, and his wife. This gathering also served as a farewell to our dedicated Executive Committee member, Erdinç Eroglu, who has actively participated in organizing many events during the revival of the STFA.
We are especially grateful to our sponsor, ET Delicatessen's Mr. Levend Arısoy, whose generous contribution significantly enhanced the event. The delicious Turkish sucuk and chicken kebabs he provided added to the enjoyment of the day. His support was truly appreciated by everyone, making the day even more special.

STFA celebrated International Women’s Day on 8 March 2024 with 32 ladies meeting over lunch at a restaurant managed by women. Lunar New Year Celebration
STFA hosted our Lunar New Year celebration at the historic Singapore Cricket Club on 23 February 2024 with a symbolic Lohei and sumptuous fellowship lunch.
We solemely marked the first anniversary of the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye by presenting a special Appreciation Award to the Singapore Civil Defence Force Operation Lionheart Contingent Commander Colonel Chew Keng Tok. We also presented STFA Honorary Membership certificates to Turkish Ambassador to Singapore HE Burçin Gönenli and Col Chew, on behalf of the SCDF Lionhearters, to acknowledge their contributions to our bilateral friendship.
The event was a meaningful time of sharing, networking, and showing of appreciation to those who have contributed towards the strengthening of ties between Singapore and Türkiye. Also, members bonded and got to know each other better.
