STFA hosted a wonderful gathering on to welcome the New Year. It was a joyful evening, made even more special by the presence of Ambassador Mr. Burçin Gönenli and his wife.

Nearly a year after reviving the association, we are proud to have organized 10+ events and connected with over 100 members. 

We sincerely thank everyone who joined, supported, and contributed to our community.

 STFA Exco members joined the celebrations at Türkiye’s 101st National Day reception hosted by H.E. Ambassador Burçin Gönenli.

It was especially meaningful as it was during last year’s Centenary event that Ambassador Gönenli shared his vision to revive STFA, a registered society since 1992. With his encouragement and support, a new Exco led by Ms. Elif Çiftçioğlu was formed and new activities launched to strengthen the friendship between people of Singapore and Türkiye.

STFA hosted an International Coffee Day gathering this morning. We enjoyed various type of coffees, nibbled on snacks, and most importantly connected with both new and old friends. It was a sincere and genuine morning, filled with wonderful conversations.

A special thank you to Elif Erdem Öztürk for helping us arrange the centrally located venue. 

We also appreciate our Ex-co member Melek Türk Şıvgın for being our barista today and for baking delicious homemade sweets.

 STFA organized a wonderful Family BBQ gathering at Sentosa, bringing together families, It was a joyful afternoon filled with great conversations, new friendships and happy moments. 

The event was honored by the presence of the Turkish Ambassador  H.E. Ambassador Burçin Gönenli and his wife. 

Our Executive Committee member, Füsun, demonstrated some delicious Turkish mezes.

STFA welcomed new members at our first “social networking happy hour” on 26 March 2024. It was a lovely opportunity to get to know one another better.

STFA celebrated International Women’s Day on 8 March 2024 with 32 ladies meeting over lunch at a restaurant managed by women. The gathering helped serve as a reminder of the powerful impact women have in the world.

 STFA hosted Lunar New Year celebration at the historic Singapore Cricket Club on 23 February 2024, featuring a symbolic Lohei and fellowship lunch.

During the event, we marked the first anniversary of the earthquakes in Türkiye by presenting an Appreciation Award to Colonel Chew Keng Tok, Contingent Commander of the SCDF Operation Lionheart team.

STFA also presented Honorary Membership certificates to H.E. Ambassador Burçin Gönenli and Colonel Chew in recognition of their contributions to strengthening friendship between Singapore and Türkiye.

We learned a lot about the intriguing people and stories associated with this charming and picturesque neighborhood. We relaxed with a coffee session at the end and met wonderful people.
